ホームステイやルームメイトと暮らしていて、ちょっとした簡単な英語の表現なのに正しい言い方がわからないことはありませんか？
「物をしまう」
「食器を拭く」
「トーストを焼く」
「花に水をあげる」
など、皆さんはいかがでしょうか？
こういう表現はあまり英語の本でもみられませんね。家庭内で使えそうな英語の表現を思いつく限りまとめてみました。参考にしていただけると嬉しいです。
食事編
get my drink.
自分の飲み物を準備する。
get everyone a drink.
みんなの飲み物を準備する。
set the table.
テーブルをセットする。
dish out.
皿によそう。
do the dishes.
洗い物をする。
dry the dishes.
食器を拭く。
put away the dishes.
食器をしまう。
put the dishes in the dishwasher. / load the dishwasher.
食器を食器洗浄機に入れる。
wipe the table.
テーブルを拭く。
料理編
make breakfast/lunch/dinner・supper.
朝食/昼食/夕食を作る。
bake cookies/a cake.
クッキーを/ケーキを焼く。
make toast.
食パンを焼く。※Sはつけない。
cook/boil an egg.
卵を調理する/茹でる。
cut/chop/slice/peel/grind this.
これを切る/刻む/薄切りする/むく/おろす。
